Share Screen Everywhere™ & Pop Out | Flexible Screen Sharing in miingl

Share Screen Everywhere™ and Share Screen Pop Out

miingl’s Share Screen Everywhere™ feature removes the friction of formal meetings by allowing participants to share content naturally—whether they’re collaborating in a small cluster or presenting to an entire audience. Combined with Share Screen Pop Out, it enables flexible, human-centered collaboration that mirrors how people actually work together in real life.

This article explains how screen sharing works in miingl, where it’s visible, and how to use pop-out viewing for better focus and accessibility.

What Is Share Screen Everywhere™?

Share Screen Everywhere™ allows participants to share their screen directly inside the miingl venue or within a cluster—without starting or joining a traditional meeting.

Key principle: Screen sharing follows the context you’re in.

  • In a cluster, screen sharing is private to that cluster

  • In a broadcast, screen sharing is visible to the entire audience

  • No separate meeting rooms or links required

Where and How Screen Sharing Works

Sharing in the Venue or a Cluster

  • Anyone can share their screen while in the venue or inside a cluster

  • You can choose to share:

    • Your entire screen

    • A specific application window

    • A specific tab

  • When sharing inside a cluster, only participants in that cluster can see the screen

This makes clusters ideal for:

  • Small group meetings

  • Project collaboration

  • Co-working discussions

  • Reviewing documents or designs together

Screen sharing stays contextual and private—just like pulling a laptop closer in a real-world conversation.

Sharing During a Broadcast

  • During a broadcast, only hosts or participants on stage can share their screen

  • Screen sharing in broadcast mode is visible to everyone in the venue

  • Audience members can interact using tools like raising their hand, while the presenter controls the shared content

This ensures clarity and focus during presentations, workshops, and talks.

Share Screen Pop Out: View Content Your Way

What Is Share Screen Pop Out?

Share Screen Pop Out allows viewers to detach a shared screen into a separate, movable window.

This is especially helpful for:

  • Viewing small text

  • Using multiple monitors

  • Positioning shared content alongside notes or other tools

Important Rules to Know

  • ❌ You cannot pop out your own screen share

  • Anyone else who can see the screen share can pop it out

This design prevents accidental disruption by the presenter while giving viewers full control over how they consume shared content.

Practical Use Cases

Collaborative Work in Clusters

  • Jump into a cluster

  • Share your screen

  • Collaborate in real time with only the people involved

  • Others in the venue remain undisturbed

Workshops and Presentations

  • Hosts share screens on stage during broadcasts

  • Participants can pop out the shared screen for better visibility

  • Maintains focus while allowing accessibility

Remote Teams and Co-Working

  • Share designs, documents, or dashboards in clusters

  • Move screens between monitors using pop out

  • Create natural collaboration without meeting fatigue

Tips for Best Results

  • Use clusters for collaborative work and private discussions

  • Use broadcast mode for presentations and teaching

  • Encourage participants to pop out shared screens when reviewing detailed content

  • Close unused screen shares to keep the venue visually clean

  • Alert
Make sure to toggle on audio in the screen share selection if trying to share your computer's sound

Why This Matters

miingl’s screen sharing is designed to support natural human interaction, not force everything into rigid meetings. By allowing screens to be shared anywhere—and viewed flexibly—teams, hosts, and communities can collaborate the way they would in real life.

People don’t come back for better tools alone.
They come back for better experiences.
