Click-to-Cluster™ is how conversations happen on miingl.
Instead of being assigned to breakout rooms, you choose who you talk with by moving into clusters. This guide shows you how to start a conversation, join one that’s already happening, and move freely between them.
With Click-to-Cluster™, you can:
Start a one-on-one or small group conversation
Join an existing cluster
Invite others into a conversation
Move between conversations without disruption
If you prefer to see this in action, this short video walks through Click-to-Cluster™ step by step.
Everyone enters a miingl session in the venue first.
From there, conversations happen inside clusters, which are private audio and video conversations within the same space.
Click-to-Cluster™ is how you:
Move from the venue into a cluster
Join someone else’s conversation
Create a new cluster with one or more people
To start a conversation with another participant:
Hover over their video tile in the venue
Click the Click-to-Cluster™ button
The other person receives an invitation
When they accept, you’ll both move into a private cluster
Once you’re clustered, only the people in that cluster can hear and see one another.
You’ll see an invitation appear on your screen
Accept it to join the cluster
Decline it if you’re not ready to join
Accepting moves you out of the venue and into the cluster automatically.
While you’re already in a cluster, you can invite others to join you.
To do this:
Hover over another participant’s tile
Click Click-to-Cluster™
They’ll receive an invitation to join your cluster
Clusters can grow naturally as conversations evolve.
If you see a cluster already in progress and want to join:
Hover over the cluster
Click Join Cluster
The people in the cluster will receive your request
When they accept, you’ll join their conversation
This keeps conversations intentional and prevents accidental interruptions.
You’re never locked into one conversation.
At any time, you can:
Leave a cluster and return to the venue
Join a different cluster
Start a new one
Movement is expected on miingl. Joining or leaving does not interrupt others and does not require explanation.

It’s okay to listen before speaking
Movement is part of the experience, not a disruption
Clusters are private—venue audio and cluster audio never overlap
If a conversation isn’t the right fit, you can move on freely
Click-to-Cluster™ works best when you follow your curiosity.
