How to Clone an Event on miingl

How to Clone an Event on miingl

Cloning an event lets you quickly recreate a past event without starting from scratch. This is especially helpful for recurring workshops, repeated sessions, or events you plan to run again with minor updates.

Warning

Important to Know Before You Start

  • Only past events can be cloned

  • Future or upcoming events cannot be cloned

  • You must be the host or co-host of the event

If an event hasn’t happened yet, it won’t show the option to clone.

When Cloning Is Most Useful

Cloning works best when you want to:

  • Run the same workshop again on a new date

  • Reuse an event structure, description, or setup

  • Quickly create a repeat session without rebuilding everything

  • Keep or reset your guest list depending on your needs

Step 1: Log Into Your miingl Account

Go to app.miingl.com and log in using the account that hosted the original event.

Step 2: Go to “My Events”

From your dashboard:

  • Navigate to My Events

  • Scroll to find the past event you want to clone

Only completed events will have the option to clone.

Step 3: Clone the Event

Next to the past event:

  • Click Clone Event

A new event draft will open automatically.

Step 4: Update Event Details

On the event creation page:

  • Change the event date and time

  • Update the description, title, or cover image if needed

  • Adjust event settings or subscriptions as appropriate

This is your chance to refresh the event before publishing.

Step 5: Choose How to Handle the Guest List

You’ll be asked how you want to manage attendees:

  • Keep Guest List
Use this if you want to invite the same participants again. Guests can be removed or added on the next screen after creating the event.

  • Create New Guest List
Use this if you want to start fresh with a new audience.

Choose the option that best fits your event goals.

Step 6: Create the New Event

Once everything looks right:

  • Click Create Event

Your cloned event is now published and ready promote, or edit further.
